Ruben, from a young age has been fascinated and passionate of all forms of combat sports. His background consists of Taekwondo; Bujutsu under Swiss Champion 5th Dan Roger Walser. Ruben is also a 8 year Marine Corps veteran; during active duty, Ruben became a Black Belt Martial Arts Instructor under the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Jiu Jitsu was introduced to Ruben by his brother Alex who competes and trains in Texas. He is currently a blue belt under Professor Lucas Brito.
